Ozz Borges

Ozz is an entrepreneur, writer, producer, author and former CEO of several celebrity production companies (Laz Alonso, Yasiel Puig). While an executive, he worked closely with streaming companies and studios to fill the gap between Latino creators to make movies and TV shows for underrepresented audiences. Ozz has been instrumental in raising funds for studios. One of them with an incredible slate of films at Warner Brothers that saw returns of over 5 Billion dollars worldwide with films like Wonder Woman, A Star is Born, The Batman, and others.

Ozz Borges is a born & raised Cuban writer/producer, currently based in Los Angeles, CA.  He grew up in a military neighborhood in Cienfuegos, known as the home of many afro-cuban jazz stars.  While writing was his first love, he was recruited to play baseball and volleyball at the highest level, going pro in Beach Volleyball once in United States. After moving to LA, Ozz rediscovered his passion for the arts starring in “Guys with Kids” show, Bang Bang Bros (Indie Film) and Monday Afternoon (Indie Film) as an actor.

Ozz expertise in the industry grew when he got involved in Indie & Studio financing structuring deals as well as pre-sales and distribution raising up to $500M for Warner Brothers for a deal.  He worked for two years running Laz Alonso’s company (The Boys, Avatar) to then launch a venture with Ex Dodger and MLB star from the same hometown in Cuba, Yasiel Puig.

At this moment, Ozz has a strong set of projects coming down the line he wrote and he’s producing. Groomed by a few of his showruner friends to become a successful writer, Ozz was a 2019 Quarter-Finalist in the Final Draft Big Break and Semi-Finalist in the Fresh Voices competitions in the tv-comedy section with the comedy series Gamers.
